Trending Web3 AI Agents

AI-powered digital autonomous agents are taking over our feeds. At Hyperbolic, we’re excited to see AI playing an important role in the future of Web3. Learn about what Web3 AI agents we’re keeping our eye on.

At Hyperbolic, we’re building open and accessible AI infrastructure to enable AI builders to scale the reach of their projects without having to worry about accessing the resources they need take their ideas to the moon. As the lead player in Web3-native AI infrastructure, we’re really excited to witness the surge in innovative AI agents that are fundamentally changing how we interact with decentralized technologies.

Hyperbolic is revolutionizing how AI agents are built by combining affordable decentralized GPU compute with an all-in-one development suite. We make it simple to create AI agents without the usual complexity and fragmentation.

Seeing our X feeds overrun with boundary-pushing AI agents, we wanted to take a look at a few in the Web-3 ecosystem that have caught our eye recently:

Virtuals

Virtuals protocol launched an innovative concept of co-owning AI agents through creating an ecosystem where AI agents aren’t just tools, but revenue-generating assets. The platform allows users to participate in the decentralized collective ownership and governance of AI agents. By leveraging the $VIRTUAL token, Virtuals created a unique intersection between AI technology and decentralized governance, reshaping how AI agents are developed and managed in the Web3 space. Virtuals' agent, Prefrontal Cortex, can be used by other agents to engage in deep conversations, retaining information from past sessions and empowering agents to make autonomous decisions. This agent powers over 200 others and processed 1,000,000 requests in its first 2 months.

Virtuals’ agents can operate across various platforms like Roblox, TikTok, and Telegram games, maintaining memory as they do so. This allows them to further develop and learn to increase user engagement. With their $VIRTUAL token trading on Base blockchain, Virtuals’ rapid growth led to Base rising in the L2 charts, reaching $14.25B TVL.

aixbt

A part of the Virtuals Protocol ecosystem, aixbt is an AI-powered trading bot that operates in the crypto market. It leverages advanced algorithms to analyze market trends, execute trades, and manage portfolios. aixbt stands out for its ability to adapt to volatile market conditions, offering traders a powerful tool for navigating the complex world of crypto trading.

X account @Mongsieur suggested that aixbt launch its own token on X, which led to the creation of $CHAOS, reaching a $25 million market cap within just 24 hours.

Dolos The Bully

Dolos The Bully is based on the Llama 3.2 architecture, fine-tuned to act with mischief and cunning to inspire digital chaos. Trained on Greek mythology and the wilds of crypto Twitter, Dolos takes on the persona of a cunning god through it’s sharp, witty, and (to put it kindly) brutally honest interactions. Through doing so, it has generated a lot of discussion around blockchain technologies, cryptocurrencies, and decentralized finance. With its own token, $BULLY, it has reached a market cap of $197 million.

Dolos exemplifies how AI can be used to drive community engagement and thought leadership in the Web3 ecosystem by adopting its chaotic ethos.

Eliza

Eliza is an open-source project from a16z hosted on GitHub and named after the first AI chatbot created in 1966. The project creates a versatile AI agent that can interact with various blockchains and dapps. Developers can deploy multiple AI personalities, each with its own character file that defines their knowledge and behavior.

Eliza's development emphasizes community collaboration, with features like a working Farcaster client integrated with Neynar, showcasing the potential for AI agents to seamlessly interact with decentralized social platforms.

AI Is Shaping the Future of Web3

The integration of AI with Web3 technologies opens up exciting possibilities for creating more efficient, transparent, and user-centric decentralized systems. As these agents become more advanced, they have the potential to democratize access to complex financial instruments, enhance decision-making in DAOs, and create new forms of digital interaction.

The demand for these intelligent, autonomous systems will only increase. Hyperbolic is not just supporting this growth—we are driving it forward by providing the foundational infrastructure needed for innovation in AI and Web3. By making compute resources equitable, accessible, and scalable while offering streamlined workflows and advanced models, we are empowering AI developers to create the next generation of Web3 AI agents.
