Today, we're proud to announce our revenue-sharing partnership with Nous Research, the creators of the Hermes 3 large language model. Through Hyperbolic’s AI Inference Service, we will share the revenue generated by Hermes 3, one of the most advanced open-weight models in the industry. Hyperbolic was among the first to support Hermes 3 70B at BF16, and now we’re taking it a step further by sharing the benefits with the Nous Research team of hosting the model on our platform. This partnership underscores our commitment to building an open AI ecosystem where everyone gains. We welcome other model developers to reach out if they’re interested in hosting their models on Hyperbolic.

About Nous Research

Nous Research is a leader in the development of human-centric simulators and models. Their primary focus areas include data synthesis, fine-tuning, and output steering, all aimed at aligning AI systems with real-world user experiences. They prioritize the development of open-source, human-compatible language models, which challenge the conventional closed-model approach. This commitment to openness allows for greater customizability and collaboration in AI development.

What is Hermes 3?

Hermes 3 is a top-tier generalist model fine-tuned on Meta's Llama 3.1, offering advanced reasoning, multi-turn conversations, and creative task handling. It’s designed for highly dynamic and complex interactions, making it ideal for a wide range of applications.

In benchmark testing, Hermes 3 outperforms many other open-weight models, showing superior results in tasks like reasoning, role-playing, and creative writing. It competes closely with, and in some cases surpasses, Meta's Llama 3.1 Instruct models. Hermes 3’s robust context retention and fine-tuned performance make it the model of choice for projects requiring high precision, speed, and creativity.

Build the Future of AI with Hermes 3 on Hyperbolic

With Hermes 3 now available on Hyperbolic at 70 billion parameters (70B) and using Brain Floating Point 16 (BF16) precision, developers can build powerful, next-gen AI applications—at a fraction of the cost of other platforms. Here's why it matters:

  • 70B Parameters: The size of the model makes a difference. With 70 billion parameters, Hermes 3 excels at processing complex tasks, offering more accurate and nuanced outputs. This makes it ideal for applications that require deep reasoning, multi-turn conversations, and creative content generation. Larger models provide better generalization and handle diverse inputs more effectively.

  • BF16 Precision: BF16 optimizes the model’s performance by reducing memory usage without sacrificing accuracy. This makes Hermes 3 faster and more cost-effective, particularly for intensive workloads. BF16 allows for better speed and hardware utilization, helping developers scale their applications more easily across Nvidia, AMD, and other hardware setups.

Why Choose Hyperbolic?

  • State-of-the-Art Models: Access leading models like Hermes 3, optimized for text, image, and audio generation.

  • Superior Performance: Faster and more efficient AI inference with seamless scalability across different hardware.

  • Privacy Guaranteed: Your data stays private—no history is stored.

Commitment to Open Development

Hyperbolic and Nous Research are focused on making AI development open and accessible. By providing developers with the necessary tools to create advanced AI applications without the restrictions of proprietary technologies, we're driving real innovation. We're also redefining revenue sharing, ensuring a fair and transparent AI ecosystem.
